The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tunisia, Mohammed Mouldi Kefi, signed personal guarantee for the conditional release of Ales Bialiatski

September 13, 2011

I have learnt with dismay and concern the unjustified arrest of Mr Ales Bialiatski, Director of the “Viasna” Human Rights Center and Vice-President of the International Federation for Human Rights (FIDH).

Tunisia, firmly attached to the values of democracy, Human Rights and fundamental freedoms, the principles that nurtured the “liberty and dignity” revolution, calls for the release of the human rights defender Mr Ales Bialiatski.

Mohammed Mouldi Kefi signed personal guarantee for the conditional release of Ales Bialiatski.
